Lane Tech’s Robotics Team Looking for New Members

Lane Tech’s Robotics teams are recruiting for next year and we are looking for a new members with a diverse range of technical and non-technical skills. In addition to working on the robots we need members to oversee and run projects ranging from web design, photography, videography, grant writing, fundraising and team image. Learn about the basics of robot building, design and programming in our off-season and have the opportunity to try out for both our FTC and FRC build teams. These new, non-techincal positions offer more flexibility in terms of time commitment and many are perfect for members who can only participate once or twice a week.

Why join?

  • You’ll be eligible for the $20 million in scholarships offered to FIRST Robotics participants. 1/3 of these scholarships go unclaimed every year and 40% are not specific to any university or major.
  • Earn service learning hours through our community outreach program
  • Be a part of a hugely successful Lane Tech team that has gone to 2 World Championships and 6 State championships in the last 3 years!

For more details, come to our informational meeting on Wednesday, May 20th after school in the cafeteria. Interested in trying out for our intermediate level FTC build teams? Tryouts will be held Wednesday, May 27th and Friday, May 29th in room 129 after school.
