The Chicago Innovation Awards is looking for some additional volunteers to help out before the event in exchange for free tickets to attend. We’ve found that students really seem to embrace the concept of innovation, so I wanted to offer this to Lane Tech students & faculty if anyone is interested.
On Tuesday, October 25th our season culminates with the main awards show at the Harris Theater, where we’ll be joined by Margo Georgiadis, President of Americas at Google, Allison Rosati & Rob Stafford from NBC News, along with Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle and a host of impressive Chicagoans that are spearheading great innovation!
How You Can Help
As you may know, this huge show doesn’t happen without our amazing volunteer team. Below is the volunteer shift we’re seeking to fill:
- Sunday, Oct. 23rd from 1:00-4:30pm – Assembling name badges before the event & attaching the correct Harris theater tickets. This will take place at the Chicago Innovation Awards offices in Lincoln Park, located at 2001 N. Halsted. Brunch will be provided. Volunteers for this shift are welcome to attend the Awards Ceremony & After party at no charge.
What’s In It For Lane Tech Students?
As a thank-you for volunteering, you’ll be welcome to sit down and enjoy the awards show inside the Harris theater either before or after your shift. Volunteers will be able to enjoy passed appetizers and rub elbows with Award winners, board members, the staff of Chicago Innovation Awards, media, and other Chicago innovators. Value: $40+/person
How to Confirm Your Spot?
Please reply back to me at jackie.tamas, as I will be coordinating the volunteer efforts for Sunday and day-of. We’re striving to get about 10-15 students to help out so things move quickly.
Thank you in advance for your time and assistance. I would invite you to reach out if you have any additional questions or concerns. We look forward to working with you on making this the best awards show yet!
