Learn Firebase at 2501: CodeLab

Correction:  the event occurs this Thursday, which is the 6th (the initial posting had indicated Thursday 10/8.)

Google’s Firebase is “a mobile platform that helps you quickly develop high-quality apps, grow your user base, and earn more money. Firebase is made up of complementary features that you can mix-and-match to fit your needs. ”

Firebase includes a variety of features that make it easier than ever to build and deliver sophisticated cross-platform apps; Firebase features include hosting, realtime database, authentication, messaging and more.

logomakr_0hli3nLearn the basics at a workshop this Thursday, October 6 at 2501: CodeLab in room 124 at Lane Tech;  the workshop will be delivered by Dave Hayes, Web Development instructor at Lane Tech and at UIC.

Participants will learn the basics of the Firebase infrastructure and will build a simple web application that demonstrates some features.

Because we’ll be building a web app, participants should have at least basic experience with web languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and should have some basic programming skills;  you’ll receive additional information once you register for the workshop.
