LTMakers Product Catalog and Bazaar
Hey Lane Tech students, faculty and staff! Here in the World’s Greatest Computer Science Department’s LTMaker Lab (RM134), we had a feeling that you all are looking for things to buy for your friends, family, and loved ones (including your self…because you deserve it). So what did we do about that feeling? Got to work! We have close to 50 different products designed and created by 33 different groups from our Innovation and Creation Lab classes. Many of these items are selling for only a few dollars but sell for $30-$40 in local stores and online. The students have made some incredibly cool stuff using digital design software, laser cutters, vinyl cutters, and other tools of the lab. Some items can even be customized / personalized making it a one-of-a-kind gift. You can get something cool and help Lane Tech all at the same time! All proceeds go back to the Computer Science Department to help maintain and fund resources for the students. Laser cutters are…not cheap 🙂
Where? How? OMG I’m so excited!
Thanks to the generous help of Mr. Hayes, we have a live online catalog where you can find out what is being sold, and who to contact if you’d like to buy something. The site will be regularly updated by the student groups. Not all groups have posted their items yet, but many have! Check it out at http://bit.ly/ltmakerscatalog!
But wait, there’s more! The Big Bazaar!!!
This coming Thursday, December 22 from 3:30-5:30pm in the cafeteria, we have our first annual LTMakers Bazaar! All groups will have a table set up and will be selling their products. Think of it as a flea market, but 1000 times cooler, where all things are made by students.
