The Congressional App Challenge (CAC) is an official initiative of the U.S. House of Representative, where Representatives challenge students in their districts to create apps. With 10,000 students signed up, it’s the largest student coding competition in the world, and one of the most prestigious for students, too.

Students from 43 states have created apps that address everything from bullying, food waste, to health and safety, to search and rescue, to education, to gaming. The only limit is imagination and perseverance!

In addition to prizes TBA, the winner(s) of each Congressional district receive:

· Recognition from their Member of Congress,

· Their app is displayed in the Capitol Building in Washington, DC,

· And an invitation to #HouseOfCode in Washington, DC.

The 2018 Congressional App Challenge is currently accepting registrations from middle and high school students across the nation.

The deadline to submit an app is October 15th, 2018! So get coding!
