UIC is offering a Chancellor’s Fellowship to every Illinois resident that applies by November 1, 2018 and meets the following criteria:
- Is attending college for the first time
- Has a minimum unweighted high school GPA of 3.8
- Has a minimum SAT score of 1360 or ACT score of 30
- Total household income less than six times the federal poverty rate (approximately $150,000 for a family of four, $175,000 for a family of five)
More details here: UIC $70K Chancellor Fellowship
This is an excellent opportunity for a student to lock up a scholarship valued at around $70K. If a student satisfies the above criteria, s/he will get this fellowship. We feel that many of these fellowship students will end up in one of our UIC Engineering or Computer Science programs which is why I am sending this out.
You are encouraged to apply even if you don’t meet the criteria since it may help you qualify for other scholarships.
