CS @ University of Illinois

CS @ ILLINOIS Sail, which is coming up on April 9th.

Sail (formerly known as Splash) is a CS outreach program in which students will spend the day on campus at UIUC taking courses taught by current Illinois students. They can choose their own schedule, with classes ranging in subject from learning how to make their own website to general college advice and various silly courses. All meals will be provided on that day, and there will be transportation available from Woodfield Mall, Oakbrook Center, Buffalo Grove, Union Station, and Naperville.

Some of the example classes are

  • Quizditch: Harry Potter Trivia
  • Beyond the Books
  • How to Get a Job in the CS Industry
  • Intro to Android Reverse Engineering
  • Computer Vision: It looks Magical but It’s Not Magic

… and a whole bunch more!

Please help us spread the word and encourage your students to register at http://sail.cs.illinois.edu.

Classes are first come first serve, so signup now. Also, RSVP at https://www.facebook.com/events/901174483333173/ .

We’re excited to host them and hope that they’ll take this opportunity to explore our campus and get a taste of CS @ ILLINOIS, while meeting other high school students interested in STEM and current Illinois students.
