America Charitable Foundation’s Student Leaders Program Application Open

See info below about the America Charitable Foundation’s Student Leaders Program.

Dear Community Partner,

The Bank of America Charitable Foundation’s Student Leaders® Program is accepting applications for the 2021 program through January 29, 2021. We are asking for your help to spread the word about the Student Leaders Program to the students that you know, work with or who are connected to your organization. Current juniors and seniors are eligible to apply.

Since 2004, the Bank of America Student Leaders Program has been part of our ongoing commitment to youth employment and economic mobility. Preparing a diverse pipeline of community-minded young students with the leadership training they need to be successful in the workforce is vital to our approach to responsible growth and helps to build thriving communities. Through our Student Leaders program we connect more than 300 community-minded high school juniors and seniors from nearly 100 communities to employment, skills development and service. The program helps students gain a greater understanding of how nonprofits create impact in the community and helps develop them as the next generation of community leaders through two components:

  • A summer eight-week paid internship with a nonprofit organization selected by the bank. This internship is designed to provide opportunities for the students to develop and apply leadership skills through hands-on work experience, while raising their awareness of community issues addressed by their Host Organization.
  • The week-long, all-expense paid Student Leaders Summit in Washington, D.C. from July 12-17, 2021. Conducted in partnership with the Close Up Foundation, the Summit introduces students to aspects of civic, social and business leadership and provides them with knowledge and skills they will use throughout their life to create positive community change.

Note: In-person events will be in line with local and national guidelines around gatherings and travel and may be subject to change.

Attached is an electronic announcement to share with students.

We appreciate your help spreading the word about the Bank of America Student Leaders Program. Students can apply for the program at www.bankofamerica.com/studentleaders. Please note the application deadline of January 29, 2021.
