Close the Skills Gap – Coding & Robotics Virtual Competition!

Registration link below. Open and free to all students in the US!

The nation is experiencing an unprecedented skills gap, without enough qualified workers to fill millions of open jobs in roles such as software developer, robotics engineer, cybersecurity, product manager and more. The technology sector is the fastest-growing part of the American economy! Miami EdTech and Riders.ai are partnering to Close the Skills gap and invite you to join!

How do we increase access to these jobs and ensure a level playing field?

Students need hands-on practice and engagement with tools that are used in the tech workforce. Our Close the Skills Gap Coding and Virtual Robotics competition will allow students to code a virtual robot (great for ANY STEM discipline) and the code that is most efficient (aka least amount of steps) will win!

How does it work?

This competition is open to ALL students in the US. Starting at 9am ET on November 18th, students who register here via hopin will be sent a special access code and will have access to an online portal (Riders.ai) where the instructions for the competition will be available. The competition will be open until 9am ET on November 21st (Thursday – Sunday) and winner(s) will be announced on Monday, November 22nd! There will be a college track and a separate HS track- we’ll pick winners from each age group!
