Virtual Teen Summer Programs at Chicago Public Library

Teen programming at Chicago Public Library will be virtual this summer. No in person programming, and YOUmedia sites remained closed at present because of social distancing practices.

Attached is a calendar of some awesome virtual programs that CPL is offering. Students can win prizes like gift cards and skateboards, and do not have to register for the Teen Summer Challenge to participate in Virtual Programs.

An Opportunity for Black and Latinx High School Graduates from the Class of 2020

The Seneca Foundation and Vail Systems are providing Black and Latinx 2020 high school graduates with Software and DevOps training, while earning a $37K salary. The application is due July 20th and can be accessed here. A program info session will be held on July 13th.

Students have the option to attend college part-time while in the program, or take a gap year, work full time, and receive support from the program when college application season rolls around.
