Society of Women Engineers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is happy to announce that we will be hosting an in-person Engineering Tomorrow’s Careers Camp (ETC) this summer! This is subject to change as UW-Madison COVID-19 policy changes*.
If you know of any high school students interested in STEM, the following information provides relevant details about the programming and logistics of ETC camp. Please pass this information on to families or students that you think may benefit from this type of program.
What: ETC offers an incredible opportunity to grow young students’ passion for and knowledge of STEM topics while connecting them with professionals studying, teaching, and working in engineering fields to provide support and guidance.
Activities include:
Experiments and hands-on activities that explore STEM on UW Madison’s engineering campus
Industry guests sharing about their careers in STEM, as well as leading workshops to challenge campers’ problem-solving skills
Hear from professors from different fields in engineering about research and the many possibilities of academic paths within engineering
Ask questions to a panel of students from engineering and beyond to learn more about college life and how to choose a college or major
Who: While high school students of any grade can apply, priority will be given to high school juniors and seniors.
When: June 18th-23rd, 2023
Where: UW-Madison Campus
On-campus housing and necessary accommodations will be provided for the week
Cost: $350 per camper (includes housing and food, financial aid available)
